Love Begins With You

This month I have been reflecting on

L-O-V-E. Now that I am in my early 30s, I am coming to realize how important it is to know that love begins with yourself. Because we are all deeply loved by God, we have permission and the joyous responsibility to love ourselves as a reflection of how God sees us.

Currently as I am writing to you, I am enjoying a hot foot soak and a delicious breakfast. However, something that I have also learned is that it goes deeper than just simply self-care which is also very important. It’s a matter of our soul and unique purpose.

Do you love who you are and your story? Your gifts, talents, strengths, weaknesses and imperfections…?

I like to think of our personal design like a puzzle piece with some smooth and jagged edges. Your puzzle piece is very special in making the ultimate masterpiece beautiful and complete. Each puzzle piece has its own role and place, and cannot take the place of another. You need your authenticity as well as the authentic contribution of your community connected to you.

Uniquely loving your own is important and loving in community is important.

When we can love and accept ourselves JUST AS WE ARE it keeps us growing and reliant on God’s strength. Showing up for yourself in love allows you to show up fully in love for others from a place of overflow. Self-love is not selfish but a necessity.

I stopped by to simply encourage you to love who are and all that God has called you to be.

You are worthy and you are enough.
