I have been reflecting on power in community.

What I love most about community fellowship is that it has the ability to transform a new unfamiliar place into a warm welcoming place full of familial love, support, connection and joy.

Thriving in community keeps me grateful, growing, service-minded and vulnerable with the humble reminder that

I am never alone.

The truth is there is NO way I could have got to where I am now and where I will be in the future without my family tribes planted across the country. From West Virginia to California to Maryland to Massachusetts to my current home in Alabama and beyond lol.

No matter where we are or what season of life we are in there is always opportunity to find our family tribe and community. Especially in seasons of transition and change, sometimes it can feel as though “we are the only ones in a particular situation.”

The secret that I have discovered is that the only thing that often stands in between feeling isolated and strongly united in community is an “intentional choice.”

And often that intentional choice to reach out, make a call, go to that event, sign up for that class or invite someone begins with us.

I have found that when I am willing to open my eyes and take part in the opportunities and precious relationships around me, I am always blessed beyond measure by new communities of support that make me a better person.

Words cannot express my gratitude for my River Region and Dermatology family, my ballet family, my church family, my Friday night live family (check out our youtube channel, https://www.youtube.com/@FridayNightliveMinistry/featured) and my yoga family that have welcomed me to the beautiful state of Alabama. Also words cannot express my gratitude to all of my family, friends and mentors all around the world that I can connect with when I need them or when they need me.

So whether you build a community around you or you join an established community, I encourage you to

find your tribe.

We all need each other!

Love,

Chloe J
