I recently discovered a phenomenal podcast called, The School of Greatness with Lewis Howes. This podcast is full of game changers my friends! I invite you to check out Episode 947: Upgrade Your Brain, Learn Anything Faster and Become Limitless with Jim Kwik (see link below). This episode had my soul jumping for joy lol
Jim Kwik said something powerful:
“Don’t downgrade your dreams to fit your current reality, upgrade your mindset, your motivation, and your methodology to meet your destiny.”
Jim also says that, “Knowledge + Action= Power.” This really spoke to me. His statement then begs the question, “If we have all the knowledge in the world, why is the ACTION piece so difficult at times...?
I believe that in the gap between knowledge and action my friends is something that I have frequently encountered and it's called resistance.
Resistance is anything that is stopping you from taking action. It can present itself as fear, doubt, anxiety, excuses, or the plain fact that your task is just difficult and you would rather have the outcome without going through the process of what it takes to get there. Let’s be real.
Guess what! I totally understand! I am here to share that you are not alone! Haha! I don’t know about you but this is a season of my life with so many new exciting levels of knowledge and fun projects, but with that I have discovered that resistance is sure to follow.
We ALL have some form of resistance no matter how old you are or what you do because-we are all human.

I like to think of resistance not as something that is negative but as a firm indicator that I am about to make a huge shift in my life.
It was a game changer for me when I realized the only thing that stood in between me and what I was trying to accomplish was my resistance. This awareness helped me strategize what I needed to do to work through it.
From my own experience, the majority of our resistance is a “mindset battle”. Yes my friends, the mind alone is powerful-it can either propel us forward or paralyze us.
I have found that while change is exciting it is also uncomfortable because it requires us to put in the work and get outside of our comfort zone.
I want to share five humble tips on how I push through my resistance on a day-to-day basis: (You can find more of these concepts in my book, My Soul is Smiling)
1) Break down the task you are resisting into bite sizes.
If we see the whole giant task in front of us, the thought of it alone can shut us completely down. If we decide to attack one small portion of it for a focused period of time, then we can begin to approach it in a healthy way.
2) Take a joy break and celebrate the completion of each task.
When we can add play and fun to our daily tasks, it keeps us motivated and excited to keep going. Don’t forget to congratulate yourself for everything you have accomplished toward your goal!
3) Declare your “I AM statements.”
All throughout the day, I have to repeatedly remind myself of my identity in Christ by stating who He has called me to be. Try saying this with me:
I AM confident.
I AM powerful.
I AM a child of God.
I AM strong.
I AM capable.
I AM loved.
Keep the list going lol!
4) Cast your burden on God.
Remember Psalm 55:22. We can literally cast all of our burden on God because He cares for us. Know that all of your strength you need to overcome your resistance comes from God. We can completely surrender the outcome and the process to Him fully.
5) Keep your vision before you.
Don’t see your resistance as an immovable block, but as an opportunity to propel you into your destiny. Don't approach the resistance with resistance, rather approach resistance with the opposite force of confidence and excitement which is just as powerful.
Remember to take one day at a time and take a deep breath, but also keep pushing and keep moving forward!

Love,
Chloe J

Mind over matter and you have this area covered, but as life goes on so does improvements, for we never quit learning.
